## Primitive Reflexes: Foundation for Sensory Processing

Primitive reflexes drive the development of the sensory processing systems, allowing them to function more optimally. In cases of [sensory processing disorders](https://moveplaythrive.com/index.php?Itemid=650 "Explore the sensory-anxiety connection"), primitive reflex integration and rhythmic movements have been successfully used to mature the sensory system, leading to better functioning, self-regulation, and positive emotional states.
