## What Makes the Brain and Sensory Foundations Course Special?

### You get more. Why? Because there are other important infant movements that drive development and promote reflex integration.

In healthy development reflexes are not acting alone—they are supported and matured by several types of innate, infant (neurodevelopmental) movements. This is why we choose to give you more in the Brain and Sensory Foundations program—because we have seen that it works far better than just primitive reflex integration alone. You get a variety of synergistic neurodevelopmental movements that help reflexes to integrate, making use of the inherent power in natural, holistic development.

We also know that retained primitive reflexes are associated with compensations, stress, tension, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our program provides you with training in integrative movements to release stress and help with achieving goals. Reflex integration can be more comfortable, deep, lasting, and effective with these supporting tools.

## Get 8 Powerful Sessions to Optimize Primitive Reflex Integration

Get a two-minute Brain Tune Up for releasing stress, plus in-depth instruction on how to use [innate rhythmic movements](https://moveplaythrive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=273&Itemid=514) for calming and maturing the brain, body, and sensory systems. Innate rhythmic movements promote sleep and relaxation and are vitally important for ensuring that reflex integration and sensory functioning are the best they can be. Children and adults love these innate rhythmic movements.

Examine the impact of reflex integration on human functioning in physical, social, emotional, and cognitive realms. You get comprehensive protocols for the [Tonic Labyrinthine Reflex (TLR)](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/tonic-labyrinthine-reflex) that include playful games and targeted tools. TLR integration is a must for issues with core strength, balance (vestibular sensitivity or gravitational insecurity), visual challenges, posture, and stamina.

Get tools for two of the most important reflexes for focus, motor skills, and academic learning: [Asymmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/asymmetrical-tonic-neck-reflex) (ATNR) and [Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/symmetrical-tonic-neck-reflex) (STNR). Help is here for children and adults who struggle with attention, coordination, and communication.

This powerhouse session gives you four tactile reflexes that are crucial for the functioning of the hands ([Grasp & Palmar/Babkin](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/hand-reflexes-grasp-palmar-and-babkin)) and feet ([Plantar & Babinski](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/feet-reflexes-plantar-babkinski)). Find out about the links between the hand reflexes and the mouth that can affect fine motor, oral motor, tactile, and speech abilities. Explore the feet reflexes for calming the nervous system and helping with structural, postural, and gait issues.

Transform anxiety, trauma, shyness, obsessive/compulsive behaviors, selective mutism, challenges with transitions, perfectionism and procrastination. [Fear Paralysis Reflex](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/fear-paralysis-reflex) (FPR) integration is key to resolving these issues at their core by developing deep relaxation and maturation within the nervous system. This session includes our phenomenal [5-Step Balance Process](https://moveplaythrive.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=367&Itemid=755) for taking the stress out of daily occupations and boosting goal achievement.

Get life-changing [Moro reflex](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/moro-reflex) integration techniques that turn off the fight-or-flight response allowing children and adults to blossom. Moro integration promotes calm sensory processing, emotional regulation, core strength, stamina, balance, and health. Perfect for volatile, anxious, and highly sensitive individuals. Moro reflex integration boosts development and aids in trauma recovery.

Enhance functioning with the [Spinal Galant](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/spinal-galant-reflex) and [Headrighting reflexes](https://moveplaythrive.com/resources/primitive-and-postural-reflexes/headrighting-reflexes). The Spinal Galant reflex is often crucial for eliminating bedwetting, back pain, tension, sensitivity, ADHD, and fidgeting. It supports ATNR and is important for children born via C-section. The Head Righting postural reflex helps with mature movements and is important for stamina, visual processing, and recovery from head, neck, and back injuries.

Get a powerful review of the stimulus, motor response, and integration protocols for each of the 11 infant reflexes in the training. Includes additional protocols for integrating reflexes without a facilitator.

The Online Brain and Sensory Foundations, First Level course is introductory and appropriate for parents and helping professionals who work with children, teens, and adults. The course gives multimedia instruction for assessing and remediating innate infant movements: primitive reflexes; postural reflexes; rhythmic; and developmental movements that are retained or underdeveloped. Innate and integrative movements are combined to promote brain and sensory-motor function and the foundation for improved focus, regulation, learning, speech, emotional-social skills, physical balance, strength, stamina, and coordination for all ages. **Contact Hours: 18 (CEU hours may vary depending on profession and jurisdiction).**

### Course Objectives—Upon completion of this course Learners will be able to:

- Execute a two-minute Brain Tune Up protocol for stress release and improved learning.
- Identify 5 principles important in applying innate rhythmic developmental movements for maturing brain and sensory-motor systems.
- Identify at least 3 research studies showing associations of retained infant reflexes with developmental delays, learning challenges or behavioral challenges.
- Identify the stimulus and movement pattern for each of 11 key primitive and postural reflexes:
