Does Reflex Integration Support Handwriting?
Therapists and parents have seen positive outcomes for handwriting in children and adults who receive primitive and postural reflex integration, particularly in the areas of:
- Legibility: letter formation, orientation, sizing, and spacing
- Use of tripod grasp
- Hand dominance, strength, and stamina
- Visual-motor integration such as eye-hand coordination, spatial-awareness, and crossing midline
All case studies are written by students of the Brain and Sensory Foundations First Level course.
